The Research in Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science (ROTOS) Foundation connects occupational therapists and occupational science researchers across Europe with the goal of increasing the impact of research. ROTOS provides a European platform for researchers to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge.

ROTOS is one of the three branches of OT-Europe and works alongside other European organizations to strengthen research in occupational therapy and occupational science. Its vision is to contribute to better lives across Europe by giving research in occupational therapy and occupational science a stronger collective voice.

SPOTeurope is proud to collaborate with ROTOS, creating opportunities for occupational therapy students across Europe to connect with research, researchers, and the wider academic community.

Through this collaboration, we aim to make research more accessible and meaningful for students by creating spaces where they can learn how research works, engage in discussions with experienced researchers, ask questions, and explore how evidence can inform occupational therapy practice.

The collaboration will include research-focused activities, including seminars, discussions, and opportunities to engage with the ROTOS community. These initiatives are designed with students at the centre, encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and a stronger connection between occupational therapy education, research, and practice.

Together, SPOTeurope and ROTOS aim to build bridges between students and the research community, supporting the next generation of occupational therapists in becoming informed, curious, and research-aware professionals.
